Congratulations to Todd Stake! This week’s winner of the music trivia question! The horn-shaped fold instrument played by humming into it is the KAZOO! Todd can come to the music room for a prize. 

 

Attention Softball players: See Mrs. Rosensteel if you would like to purchase a softball headband. 

 

Attention Jr. High Softball Players: If you did not turn in your uniform, they need to be turned in by homeroom tomorrow. 

 

Today, 8th period, “Kickin’ for Kidneys” will be held in the auxiliary gym. If you signed up, please report to the auxiliary gym with your 8th period teacher’s permission. 

 

Attention HS Chorus- please return any borrowed costumes A.S.A.P. Blue and Gold Tones- Keep your 50’s outfits for the honors banquet on May 30th. 

 

Congratulations to the choral students on a FANTASTIC concert last night! You made Mrs. Thomas very proud! Thank you!

 

Attention Students: The Cafeteria Policy states that 2 weeks prior to the end of school, students will not be permitted to charge ala carte’ or meals. Therefore, effective today, there will be NO CHARGING!  If you do not have cash to pay or money on your account for your meal, we will provide you with a Deli Sandwich, Fruit, Vegetable, and Milk, that you must pay CASH for. Thank You!    

 

There will be a Class of 2016 Officer meeting in Room 205 during homeroom on Wednesday, May 29th. There will also be a Class of 2016 meeting on Thursday, May 30th, at 2:30.      

 

Students attending the mini prom: Make sure you do the following 3 things: 1. Sign the guest up in the office. 2. Do the paperwork. 3. Provide picture ID for the guest. 

 

Attention Students attending the mini prom: If you are bringing a guest you must get a form from the office. The last day to turn in forms is today.        

 

Attention Marching Band and Band Front- We will have a parade practice, today, 5th period.  

 

Athletes, please turn in your “Be an 11” program registration forms to the folder in the office or to Mr. Speck by tomorrow. On the day of the event please bring your checks for$10 made out to the SHC Football Booster Club.   

 

All parking passes must be returned to Mrs. Lessley by Tuesday, May 28th. All late passes will result in a fine. You may still park in your designated parking spot but your pass needs to be turned in.  

 

Attention students: The mini prom that is being held from 5-7PM is for 6th and 7th grade students only! The dance that is being held from 7:30-10PM is for 8, 9, and 10th grade students only. No one older than 11th grade or younger than 8th grade will be permitted to this dance. Also, you should bring your I.D.    

 

Attention Everyone: All library books need to be returned by May 24th. You may pay fines until the end of the year.      

 

Attention Everyone: The library will be closed starting May 27th. Only students that have study halls or classes may come to the library. All middle school library helpers will report on their letter days during 8th period as usual.     

 

The SHC SADD Chapter will be going to Hershey Park on Monday June 3rd, 2013. We will leave at 7AM and return approximately at 8:30 PM.  Students may still decide to go at a later date but the cost of the trip will be $75 since the deadline for reduced tickets will be past.        

 

Field Hockey sign-ups for the 2013-2014 school year can be found outside room 102. This would be for any 8th grader going into 9th grade this fall along with 10th, 11th, and 12th grades.       

 

Registration for the Orbisonia/Rockhill Homecoming Queen Pageant will be held on Monday, July 1st, from 6:30 PM until 8:00 PM at the community room at the Community State Bank of Orbisonia. This is for all SHC girls and SHC graduates, ages 15-18. You must meet those age requirements by August 15, which is pageant night. You cannot be married or have any children. All contestants are expected to find a business to sponsor them and pay a registration fee of $35. This is a fun experience for young girls in our community and is a great way to make new friends.
